7/16/2010 - July 8th Lightning Strike Results in Fire
ALBANY, Ind. -- Littler Diecast Corporation, a manufacturer of aluminum diecastings located in Albany, Indianasuffered a lightning strike to one of our buildings the evening of July 8th. This building housed our abrasive finishing operations. While the building and its contents are lost, no personnel or surrounding properties were harmed.
We have activated our contingency plan and will now be performing off-site, the operations that we did do in this building. This includes shotblasting/wheelabrating, grinding and polishing. We do not anticipate a significant impact to our production scheduling.
It is our intention to back in full production, on-site, as soon as possible.
